Our Mission . . .

Our mission is to see all people KNOW, LIVE, and TELL the love story of Jesus.

Our Vision . . .

Our vision is to MULTIPLY believers and SEND disciples by starting seven new churches in and around Charleston by 2027.

Our Values . . .

We are Christian . . .

This distinguishes us from other world religions and cults. Therefore, we adhere to both the Apostles and Nicene Creeds, and most importantly, the Bible.

We are Evangelical . . .

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (Luke 1:30-38; Philippians 2:5-11; Romans 8:32-34; John 20:30,31; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 24:29-31).

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Galatians 5:16-26; Titus 3:4,5).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:1-17).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal death (Mark 16:16; 1 John 5:11-13).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-31; Philippians 2:1-4).

We are missional . . .

We believe that our local churches must be faithful to the continually changing context of the culture(s) in which they minister (1 Corinthians 9:19-23; Acts 11:1-18), while remaining faithful to the content of unchanging Biblical doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Corinthians 4:1-6).

We believe that our mission is to love and serve our neighborhoods, city, and beyond in order that we can effectively communicate the love story of Jesus to the world (1 John 3:16-24; Philippians 2:1-16).

We believe it is our responsibility as the church to touch the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our community, specifically the impoverished, those in broken homes, and children in need (1 John 3:16-24; James 1:27).

We believe that we are to be engaged internationally in loving the lost, broken, and those in need. We will be continually faithful to the global unity and service of the Church (Matthew 24:14).

Core beliefs and distinctions . . .

We believe that God created the heavens, the earth (John 1:1-5; Genesis 1:1-31).

We believe that God created man and woman in a state of sinless perfection with particular dignity as His image bearers on the earth (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7, 21-25).

We believe that our first parents sinned against God and that everyone since is a sinner by nature and choice. Sin has totally affected all of creation including marring human image and likeness so that all of our being is stained by sin (e.g. reasoning, desires, and emotions). (Romans 5;19; Genesis 3:1-24)

We believe that salvation was accomplished by the sinless life, substitutionary atoning death, and literal physical resurrection of Jesus Christ in place of His people for their sins (John 3:14-21, 20:30-31; Luke 24:46-48).

We believe that salvation, by God's grace alone, shows forth in the ongoing repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ that leads to good works (1 John 1:5-10; James 1:19-27, 2:17).

We believe that the gospel should be passionately and urgently proclaimed to all people so that all who believe may be saved through the preaching of God's Word by the power of God's Spirit (John 17:20-23; Mark 16:15; 2 Timothy 4:1-5).

We believe that true Christians born again of God's Spirit will be kept by God throughout their life, as evidenced by personal transformation that includes an ever-growing love of God the Father through God the Son by God the Spirit, love of brothers and sisters in the church, and love of lost neighbors in the culture (1 John 3:16-24).

We believe that baptism is to follow repentance and proclamation of faith in Christ, as a testimony to the world, at the celebration of the church, as an act of worship (Acts 2:38).

We believe that God is Lord over all of life and that there is nothing in life that is to be separated from God (Romans 8:31-39; Colossians 1:16,17).

We believe that the worship of God is the end for which people were created and that abiding joy is only to be found by delighting in God through all of life, including suffering and death which is gain (Psalm 97:12; Romans 5:1-5; John 4:23,24).
